A position is available at the post-doctoral level. Our genetic and metabolic studies are providing many clues to novel genes and metabolites in relation to vascular calcification and other metabolic diseases. We are especially interested in scholars with a strong background in neruoscience and/or metabolomics. Applicants should have a strong publication record and an interest in pursuing research in gene function in relation to metabolic and/or vascular diseases.
Applicants with strength and interest in the following areas listed below are encouraged to apply.
Lipid and carbohydrate metabolism
Hormone receptors and signaling pathways
Mineral Homeostasis
Central signaling
Cardiovascular Biology
Our team conducts research in whole animals and cell lines. We study gene function by expressing genes using adenoviruses and in transgenic and knockout mouse models. .
